Stanley Roberts of KRON4 News investigates how people parks cars for over 300 hours in a 72 hour zone. One guy has 15 cars, some of them true classics, to "save" spots. He moves them every couple weeks to avoid getting them towed (and why he does this is a mystery). This is why we can't have nice things.

They seriously sweep the streets every two weeks? And it used to be weekly ? What kind of mess does San Fran create? In my city, it's once a year, every spring.

I know exactly how it feels. There's a guy on my block who owns a five or six cars - all street parked because his garage's filled with crap - and it's basically musical cars every day for the past 20 years.
Every time I go home it's a game to see if I can get a parking space or not. And when I drive off back to school 48 hours later, it takes less than five minutes for him to park one of his SUVs or his shitty Dodge van or his banged up Camry.
Seriously. There have been times when I've turned on the key and looked into the rear view mirror to see a Lexus RX waiting behind me.

Reason number 4382 to ignore any politician claiming he can't possibly balance the budget and needs continual tax/fee hikes.
I'll give you a hint: who do you think the army of otherwise-unemployable city unionistas will vote for when one candidate wants yearly cleanings, and one wants them weekly? Now multiply that by every bloated department at every level of government...

You wouldn't happen to live in New York City right? Welcome to my life everyday looking for street-side parking spots.
